I want to share two YouTube videos from The Angry Catholic. Paul and Kris Ciaccia have been working aggressively over the years to bring information about the Clergy Sex Abuse crisis into the open. Their podcast has produced 230 episodes that are heard all over the world. They are now working on special reports on YouTube, following up on cover-ups in the Diocese of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The first report chronicles new reports on priests engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with minors. The seminary class of 1985 seems to have been particularly infamous. Watch the video for more information.
The second video is personal to me. It discusses my perp, Father Robert J. Gibson, and others who may have been involved in the cover-up of Gibson’s crimes. I remember a tough discussion with a friend when I started this blog years ago. I was warned that I would be shocked at who knew and may have been complicit in protecting the man who raped me as a 13-year-old and putting the Diocese ahead of protecting innocent children. I have long suspected that the Diocese of Scranton has Monsignors who have acted as fixers for the Bishop to keep secrets and clean up after predator priests while leaving children and vulnerable adults susceptible to further harm. The Bishop’s playbook is all about protecting himself and the Diocese.
These are must-see videos. If you are not outraged at the Diocese of Scranton’s actions, you may be part of the ongoing problem.
