Yeah, I know it has been a minute…
The annual “Virtue Signaling” is happening tomorrow in Scranton. A friend and fellow survivor made me aware that they are still doing propaganda theater on Wyoming Avenue every April for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The very idea of this is as credible as Cartels doing a “Say No To Drugs” event.
As in years past, survivors were not invited. Bishop Bambera cannot risk having a few pews filled with survivors. He would be forced to actually acknowledge us. We all know he is too much of a coward to do so. I believe they realize the harm they continue to inflict on survivors every time they do stunts like this.
The above screenshot from the Diocese of Scranton Facebook page is very telling. You will note at the bottom that the “Diocese of Scranton limited who can comment on this post.” I suspect the bishop is aware of the reaction he will get from those of us he intends to show “care and compassion.”
Let’s start putting together a plan for survivors to attend the 2027 “Healing Mass for Survivors of Abuse.” I think that could be very cathartic for survivors to have a face-to-face with the Bishop and see his “care and compassion.” I don’t think that the Bishop or his Victims Advocate Adversary Coordinator (VAC) will see it that way.
Let the Bishop and VAC know that this continued abuse of survivors and virtue signaling needs to stop:
