…views on this blog as of this evening. It is a little unnerving to see that this little conversation I am having, mostly with myself at times, has attracted that much traffic with just over 200 posts released into the internet. Perhaps I will see 100,000 by the weekend!
Somehow it is now 2013. And we are already half way through January. I will admit that the passing of 2012 into the history books gives me a sense of relief. I feel like I have been holding my breath underwater for most of the year. It was a year of personal challenges, uncertainty at work, a separation agreement that should have taken weeks went on significantly longer and the last shallow exhale from the man who stole so much from so many. He made it! He won the race to the grave without being held publicly accountable. He was aided and abetted to the end by the Diocese of Scranton’s hierarchy and the Servants of the Paraclete at the St. John Vianney Center in Dittmer, Missouri.
Yes, good riddance 2012!
We start 2013 with more stories of priests and lay teachers on trial, overly redacted files from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and a bishop still holding on to his See despite his conviction in helping to protect a pedophile. Lets also throw the ongoing targeting of American Nuns by a church hierarchy so corrupt and arrogant that they can bully with impunity, while the faithful sit in the pew remain passive.
Here we go again!
But there is hope for this year to start off on a positive note! Justice4PAkids is holding a Jan 23 press conference in the Harrisburg State House Rotunda at 10 am for introduction of new bills for abolishing statute of limitations (SOLs) for sexual crimes committed against children. Maureen Martinez, Justice4PAkids President, is encouraging people to come out and support the cause. She requests that you please RSVP to: info@justice4pakids.com if you can make it. If you can support this group, please do so. They are really leading the charge for justice and accountability in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!
I am hopeful that 2013 will be a good year on many fronts. I wish you all a happy and healthy new year. I wish you all the truth and justice for which we all seek.
Good to hear from you again, Michael. I hope this year is better for you and that we see changes in the SOL laws, starting with Pennsylvania.
You also left out the fraud that is SNAP.They are in the 23rd year of their absolute desheavelment of any victims chances at organizing our selves. And yet you only mention your own personal battle. Valid absolutely. The whole ball of wax not hardly. If we can not or better yet will not remove the major barrier of victims meeting each other. SNAP. The Church’s reign of terror over ALL victims, every where, will remain unabated. In large part due to victims indifference to other victims.
Oh Gee! Sorry I did not cover your agenda! Last time I checked, the content of this blog was up to me… If you wish to waste your time on SNAP, by all means do it. For the record, I don’t take dictation.
What do you take Michael? or better yet : What does it take to get that other victims A, Matter as much as you do. And B, need to do something about FRAUD affecting all victims world wide.?
I have never met so many blog pushers so completely narcisistic that they never do anything but talk about their own feelings, completely ignoring the other injured as a group. Extraordinary!
Other victims are what extras in your movie?
It’s no agenda it’s fraud.
I have dictated nothing to you and you know it.
Why is it blogs about the abuse veer off into self centered land? Is Ayn Rand that important in America?
F%&k everybody else let’s just talk about me?
Can there truly be no altruism left? Or is it only around Catholic sex abuse? Because systemically each victim believes he/she is the only one this horror has ever happened to.
Who are you? Why do you behave as you do? You never asked any questions of us who claim what we do about SNAP. You just walk away Hell you couldn’t even put Victims of Silence up as a link; but you sure put up SNAP as one.
If some one with years more experience in a movement came to me saying: The national/ international “leader ” of that movement is a fake created by the other side; I would have 3 options 1, they’re crazy. or 2, want to know why they feel that way or 3 ignore them and return to my own navel gazing.
I know what you picked.
It’s just not natural not to ask questions. Not natural at all. On the left and on the right the people who “say” they care about victims issues do nothing about the SNAP fraud. Any other victims group is considered valid unless or untill it mentions SNAP/Church fraud. Then it’s “beyond the pale” as it were.
I’m sorry to have bothered you. You’ll find your navel just where you left it.
I’m sorry. I owe you an apology. You did link Victims of Silence as a Message Board. Sorry. Honestly.
If I’ve been heavy handed here It’s because I personally have worked “with” and now against SNAP for over 10 years. 10 f’ing years! And I’m whipped.Beat up; tore up; teared out; whipped.
You see I stood year after year holding at press conferences SNAP’s deadly telephone number.
I feel terribly responsible for that. I owe victims the truth so that they decide for themselves what to do with that truth.
Again I’m sorry.
Well, I know what my next post is going to be!
I await with baited breath.
Mouthwash should take care of that!
